Club Rules for a Happy and Fun Experience

Our club provides fantastic ways for children (and adults) to learn new skills, make friends, and have fun. To make sure everyone enjoys their time and gets the most out of each session, it’s important to follow some simple rules. These rules help create a friendly, safe, and focused environment where every child feels welcome and supported.

Arriving on Time and Staying for the Whole Session

Being on time is the first step to a great holiday club experience. By arriving promptly, we don’t miss important instructions or activities. Staying for the entire session also helps us to participate and benefit from the event.

  • Arrive a few minutes early to settle in.

  • If you know you will be late or absent, tell the group leader or a parent ahead of time.

  • Missing parts of the session can make it harder to catch up and join in.

Getting Ready and Joining In

Preparation makes learning easier and more fun.

  • Listen carefully and join in discussions or games.

  • Remember, everyone learns differently. Be patient and respectful of others’ ways of learning and their abilities.

Be Respectful and Polite

A calm and quiet space helps everyone focus. Respecting others means listening when they speak and waiting your turn.

  • Keep noise levels low during lessons or quiet activities.

  • Don’t interrupt when someone else is talking.

  • Phones and gadgets should be switched off.

Working Together and Helping Each Other

The club is a great place to make friends and support each other. Sharing tips and cheering on friends makes the club a happy place.

  • Share your ideas and resources with others.

  • Help each other understand without giving away answers.

  • Celebrate when someone does well or learns something new.

Take Care of Materials and the Space

Keeping the club space tidy shows respect for the place and the people who use it.

  • Put away materials after use.

  • Clean up any messes or spills right away.

  • Follow any rules about the venue, especially if we meet or visit a public event or space.

Staying Safe and Being Kind

Safety and kindness are the most important rules. Bullying or unkind behavior is never allowed. Everyone should feel safe and respected.

  • Speak kindly to everyone, even if you disagree.

  • Respect personal space and different opinions.

  • If you see or experience bullying, tell the group leader or an adult right away.

Tuck Shop Rules

If the Tuck Shop has been provided, then we need to keep things fair and fun:

  • We have a maximum spend of £2 per session.

  • Always clean up wrappers or spills to keep the area neat.

Giving Feedback and Helping the Club Grow

Your ideas can make the club better for everyone. Sharing what you like or what could be improved helps the leaders plan fun and useful sessions.

  • Offer polite and helpful feedback.

  • Suggest new activities, topics, or tools you’d like to try.

  • Remember, rules can change to fit the group’s needs, so check them from time to time.
