Our Facilities

Residential - The Jarratt Building
2 heated dormitories sleeping 43 children in total (24 in one dorm and 19 in the other)
5 adults in two separate rooms.
Communal room with TV/DVD and seating area.
All guests will need to bring a single fitted sheet, pillowcase and a sleeping bag.
Use of main building, kitchen and grounds included in hire.

Washroom facilities
Main accommodation building:
Two fully equipped disabled wet rooms with toilets
Additional toilet and wash basin
Just inside the back door to the main building:
Boys washroom with toilet, urinal, shower and wash basins
Girls washroom with 2 toilets, shower and wash basins
Fully equipped disabled wet room and toilet, including full size changing table and hoist

General Facilities
Within the old school building is the William Bradford room with smart board and wifi.
Food preparation facilities are available in the fully equipped self catering kitchen, with fridge, freezer, microwave, toasters, oven and dishwasher.
There is also a dining room for groups to use as well as plenty of benches outside for picnics.
All groups providing their own food must ensure their staff have the appropriate training.
Food can be ordered from local supermarkets and delivered to site if a member of the visiting group is on site to accept delivery.

Site Layout
We have 2 fully equipped classrooms each seating up to 35 children
The Animal Classroom houses a selection of insects, reptiles and amphibians
Portakabin housing six further toilets (3 female and 3 male)
Secure fenced field with small trim trail play area, bird hide, covered traverse wall and good selection of outdoor play equipment
Two astronomy observatories with bookable Star Gazing sessions (at additional cost)
BBQ available to hire
Pond for supervised pond dipping activity
Access onto 100 acre nature reserve.

Location
Austerfield is a village in Doncaster just 9 miles away from the city centre and 5 miles away from theA1. The closest town is Bawtry which is just a mile away, where there are supermarkets, a chemist, shops, takeaways, and cafes.
Local walks around the historic village of Austerfield provide the chance to explore the William Bradford and the Pilgrim Fathers history.
There is a play area and football field in village centre - 10 minutes walk away.
Other nearby attractions include the Yorkshire Wildlife park and Sculpture Park.
